Description
ROTARY LIMBUS (rotating ring with a degree scale for determining the azimuth on the map and a 36° scale with half degrees. Rotating dial equipped with a ring. Rotating limbus allows precise determination of direction, thanks to which the user can easily set and track their course. The notched sides of the azimuth ring facilitate operation when wearing gloves.
ADDITIONAL SIGHTS – the compass has a rear sight and a thin line which acts as a front sight. There is a rear sight under the rear sight small magnifying glass making it easier to read the exact angle from the compass dial. The compass housing also consists of a lid, in which an elongated hole is made, through the middle of which runs a taut, thin line. Inside the compass there is a sight.
FLOATING SHIELD – the key element of the compass is floating dial with magnetic needle . The needle is clearly visible, which is especially useful when navigating at night. The dial on which the needle is placed floats in a non-freezing liquid, which ensures its stability and smooth movement and minimizes the impact of shocks and vibrations on the needle’s operation. Thanks to this, the needle quickly and accurately indicates the direction of magnetic north, which is crucial for effective navigation.
CASE – massive housing made of metal. The design of the compass allows reading and navigation without opening it. In the closed position, the instruments are protected by the housing.
